About me

 

I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach.

​

​I help women conquer fatigue, prioritise health & reduce stress for a healthy, calm & joyful life.

 

My interest in how the body works and health started 20+ years ago when I began practicing yoga as a teenager. Across my life I have continually increased my health and wellbeing knowledge, both through formal trainings and my own personal experience.

 

I've not always been healthy and functioning well, in fact I have had a number of health challenges to overcome across my life. As such, I hold a wealth of experience and knowledge in the areas of exercise, dance, nutrition, yoga, breath work, mindset, mindfulness and breathe practices.​

My passion for health and wellbeing has become a purpose as I have a deep desire to help others achieve abundant health & happiness in their lives. This purpose is now a fundamental element of who I am as I know first hand what happens when health and wellbeing are ignored.

A little more about me

To understand why my passion and purpose are fundamental to who I am, I will share a little of my story. It is by no means the whole story but it was the catalyst which has made helping others achieve their own abundant health & happiness so important.

 

In early 2021 I experienced a significant and unexpected trauma that changed me forever. During the weeks and months that followed I used every distraction and ignore strategy I could in order to get through life and convince myself I was fine. As a high achiever and perfectionist I pushed myself in every area of my life, surpassing even my own high standards. On the outside I was seemingly doing very well, while on the inside I was falling apart, I became deeply unhappy and lived in a state of fatigue. Every day I would wake up exhausted and would struggle though the day. Little by little I stopped exercising and doing the things that I enjoyed because I just didn't have the physical or emotional energy for them anymore.​​

Eventually my body and brain stopped me - I experienced a significant burnout as a result of unprocessed grief and trauma compounded by pushing myself to the absolute limit. I needed to take drastic measures and I did. I stopped! I pulled out my university degree, I moved home to be near family - I put myself and my health first. This set me on a recovery and healing journey deeper than I ever anticipated. It was by no means easy! but it was one hundred percent worth it. During the process I have discovered essential healthy habits and wellbeing practices that not only support recovery and regaining optimal health, but that can also facilitate the development of more happiness, presence and life satisfaction. 


When I say this it is with sincere honesty. I understand – I’ve been there – I know firsthand the impact of juggling life, striving to achieve and navigating the really tough stuff. My experiences will be different to yours, each of us has our own unique challenges. But there are fundamental elements that can help and these generally remain quite similar. My lived experiences, personalised coaching approach and wellbeing practices along with lifestyle medicine can truly help you create the life and health you are yearning for.
